How the attractiveness test works

Detection uses Google's MediaPipe Face Landmarker, running on your device.

What an attractiveness test can and can't tell you

This attractiveness test scores facial geometry only — the parts of attractiveness that research links to symmetry and proportion. It can't see your expression, style, voice or charisma, which matter as much.

The scale is deliberately gentle and photos vary, so take it a few times with different photos and treat it as entertainment.

How the attractiveness test scores you

The score combines six measures that research and beauty tradition link to facial harmony: symmetry, golden ratio proportions, eye tilt, balance between facial thirds, midface compactness and eye spacing. Symmetry carries the most weight, since it has the strongest support in studies.

What it can't measure matters just as much. Skin quality, hair, grooming, expression and confidence all change how people see you, and none of them appear in landmark geometry. A warm smile in real life outweighs a decimal point here.

To see your best result, use soft front light and a camera at eye level from arm's length. Try a few photos and keep the highest — that's closest to how you look in person, not the worst angle.

People judge faces in motion, not in still frames. Expression, eye contact and how you move all shape first impressions, and familiarity makes faces look more appealing over time. Use the breakdown to learn which angles and styles flatter you, then focus on grooming, sleep and confidence, which change how you come across far more than any ratio.

Scores also depend on the camera. Front cameras on phones use wide lenses that distort faces held close, which lowers symmetry and ratio scores. Holding the phone further away and zooming in slightly gives a more natural result.

Attractiveness test FAQ

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits. The analysis runs in your browser.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Detection runs locally with Google's MediaPipe model, so your photo never leaves your device.

What photo works best?

A straight-on photo at eye level, from arm's length or further, in soft daylight. Pull hair off your face, remove glasses and keep a neutral expression.

Why is the lowest score 3.5?

Geometry can't capture what makes a face appealing, so the scale is intentionally kind and centered around 6.5.

Is my photo stored or rated by people?

No. The score is calculated on your device and nothing is shared.
