How the face rating test works
Detection uses Google's MediaPipe Face Landmarker, running on your device.
- 1
Upload a selfie
Use a clear, front-facing photo or your camera. Face the lens straight on in even light.
- 2
Landmarks are measured
Five geometric measures are scored from 478 facial landmarks.

The five parts of your face rating
Golden ratio compares five proportions to 1.618. Canthal tilt rewards a slight upward eye angle. Symmetry mirrors left and right. Facial thirds compares the middle and lower face. Midface ratio checks how compact the area between the eyes and mouth is.
It's a geometry score from one photo, not a measure of your worth. Lighting and angle can shift it by a point.
How each face rating part is scored
Each part is scored out of ten. Golden ratio averages how close five proportions come to 1.618. Canthal tilt peaks at a slight upward angle of about four to nine degrees. Symmetry compares mirrored points on both sides of the face.
Facial thirds rewards a middle third about equal to the lower third, and midface ratio rewards a compact space between the eyes and upper lip. The overall rating weights symmetry most, then golden ratio, then the rest.
The breakdown is more useful than the total. A lower canthal tilt score, for example, tells you that liner angled upward and lifted brows will change the overall impression of your face more than anything else.
Face rating test FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no usage limits. The analysis runs in your browser.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Detection runs locally with Google's MediaPipe model, so your photo never leaves your device.
What photo works best?
A straight-on photo at eye level, from arm's length or further, in soft daylight. Pull hair off your face, remove glasses and keep a neutral expression.
Is this a PSL score?
No. PSL ratings are subjective community scores. This face rating uses only measurable geometry, and its scale is centered around 6.5.
Why does my rating change between photos?
Small shifts in head angle and expression move several measurements at once. Average two or three photos.
Does the rating consider skin or hair?
No, only facial geometry from landmarks.
